Liposuction—also known as lipoplasty or liposculpture—is a surgical procedure that removes selected areas of localised fat to alter body contour.
Common treatment areas include the abdomen, hips, thighs, flanks, neck and upper arms. It is not a general weight-loss treatment and requires surgical assessment.
Travel and recovery
Patients considering surgery abroad need a clear plan for pre-operative assessment, post-operative review, compression garments where recommended, mobility, complication management and medical clearance before flying.
This information is general and does not replace medical advice. Services, clinicians, equipment and suitability must be confirmed before making travel arrangements.
